Project Focus & Research Scope
Project Scope
The doctoral candidate will work in the Image and Video Understanding Lab (IVUL) at KAUST. The research focuses on automatic localization and recognition of complex actions in large video datasets, using sparse temporal modeling and self-supervised learning on modern GPU clusters.

Required Academic Qualifications
- 1M.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field
- 2Strong coding expertise in Python and PyTorch/TensorFlow, with experience in GPU computing
- 3Evidence of research ability, such as a master thesis, open-source projects, or papers in CVPR/ICCV/ECCV/NeurIPS
